The Risk Taking Missions Team would like to extend an invitation for others interested in the missions efforts of Pampa FUMC to join our team. We meet once a quarter to determine how the budgeted missions fund will be used and to make plans for missions projects.
This year our goals will include:
1. Support of our Methodist Missionaries to Panama – David and Cindy Ceballos. We have a covenant relationship (prayer and financial) with David Ceballos.
2. Nothing But Nets Initiative – We will once again designate one Sunday this Spring to raise funds to buy insecticide-treated mosquito nets for places with malaria or other mosquito-born disease. We have decided to send the money to the Santiago, Panama Project Advance account to be used to buy nets for use by our missionaries in the area they serve.
3. Quarterly Donations to Support UMCOR projects. This first quarter’s donation will go to the Santiago, Panama Projects advance number.
4. Mission: Pampa – a week of outreach opportunities in our own Pampa community for one week this summer.
6. Support of the Panama Mission Trip and the Youth Summer Mission Trip.
7. Ongoing financial support of Good Samaritan Christian Services , Tralee Crisis Center, 4 Corners Native American Missions, and McCurdy School
8. Registration assistance for individuals wanting to attend a Walk to Emmaus or Chrysalis
9. Financial support for Kairos
10. Emergency Fund for teachers
